Convert Ur Car is a company that takes existing vehicles, removes the engine and retrofits an electric drive and batteries.

We cater to any type of conversion work from consultations to helping with a project to sourcing a car and converting it completely.

Electric cars or EV’s are not a new idea, as a matter of fact they have been around for almost as long as the petrol car. They are:

Cheaper to run, as little as 65 cents per day or $250 per year
Environmentally friendly.
They are extremely reliable. A DC motor has only one major moving part.
Virtually maintenance free. A lithium ion vehicle will only need a service on propultion once ever 8 to 10 years.
You recharge them from home with a 240v outlet. Any where, any time.

People often ask us two major questions:

How far can they go? Depending on the type of EV we build they have ranges from 30km up to a practical limit of 150km and over 200km in extreme cases.
How fast can they go? Convert UR Car can produce a vehicle capable of speeds and acceleration to satisfy everyone from a safe learner car to a car enthusiasts dream.
